Case Yara, the Court of Assisi of Bergamo rejects Bossetti’s request for new analysis of the findings

BERGAMO (ITALPRESS) – The Court of Assisi of Bergamo rejected the request made by the lawyers of Massimo Bossetti sentenced to life definitively for the murder of Yara Gambirasio to carry out new technical-scientific investigations on the finds and biological samples of the case. The application had been presented by lawyers Claudio Salvagni and Paolo Camporini following the recent vision of high-resolution photographic documentation carried out by the Parma RIS during the investigation.

The defense aimed to reanalyse with today’s technologies the biological track “31G20” (attributed to “Ignoto 1”) and other traces present on the clothes of the 13-year-old Brembate di Sopra. The public prosecutor and the lawyers of the Gambirasio family opposed the request. As a result of the rejection, lawyer Salvagni announced the intention of the defensive board to appeal the measure by appealing.
